Steel Deck

The most commercial deck systems are the steel deck and the standing sean metal roof, both are cold-formed steel panels used as platform to form a roof, the difference between them, is that the Steel deck can also be used to form floors with concrete laying on top of it. Besides, they can act as a diaphragm, with or without concrete, to provide stiffness to the structure. Standing seam metal roof system are only employed for roofs and do not provide lateral support to joists, for the reason that it is attached with clips that create a gap between connection points. However, the main Benefit of SSR system is that fasteners are not visible, and they are not exposed to wind, moisture, among others.
